Thames & Chiltern Chapter No 1075 - Report : 04th July 2019
On Thursday 4th July 2019, the Inspector General, V\Ill\Bro. Roy Stone 33° and District Recorder Ill\Bro. Tony Rees 32° attended the 25th Anniversary Meeting held at the Berkshire Masonic Centre, Sindlesham. There were some 65 in attendance, including fourteen guests, who were all warmly welcomed by the MWS.
Ill\Bros. Robert Faulkner 32°, acted as First General, and Ken Beard 32° acted as Second General.
Following the opening, the MWS Ill\Bro. Raymond Head 32°, delivered a short Eulogy in respect of Ill\Bro. Mike Bain 30°, who was called to the Grand Chapter above on 2nd June 2019.
The MWS then formally welcomed the Inspector General, offered him the Baton which was graciously declined.
The MWS then warmly welcomed the other guests.
Ill\Bro. Robert Faulkner 32° proposed the minutes of the meeting held on 10th January 2019, be confirmed as a true record. This was seconded by Ill\Bro. William Rhymes 31° and carried by the members.
Ill\Bro. Lionel Higgins 30°, proposed the adoption of the Accounts for year ending 31st December 2018, coupled with a vote of thanks to the Treasurer and the Examiners. This was seconded by Ill\Bro. Brian Cook 30° and carried by the members.
The MWS formally welcomed Ill\Bro. Stephen Donald Bullett 30°, who was unavoidably absent from the last meeting, as a Joining Member and presented him with a copy of the Bye Laws.
A Ballot was then held in respect of Ill\Bros. Peter Sands 30° and Vince Pearson 30°, as Joining Members, which proved in their favour. The MWS formally welcomed them and presented them with a copy of the Bye Laws.
The MWS expressed his grateful thanks to his officers, following which he carried out the Enthronement of Ill\Bro. William Rhymes 31° as the new MWS.

The Inspector General, delivered the Address to the Chapter.
The MWS, presented the Past MWS jewel to the IPMWS. Ill\Bro. Raymond Head 32°, expressed his appreciation and advised those assembled they would all receive an Anniversary Booklet at the Festive Board.
The Recorder, proposed the newly appointed Marshall and Raphael as members of the Chapter Standing Committee. This was seconded by Ill\Bro. Robert Faulkner 32° and carried by the members.
The MWS, Ill\Bro. William Rhymes 31°, then delivered a most interesting paper entitled “ The Third Point “, which was warmly applauded by those present.
The Alms were collected.
On the Risings, the Recorder delivered an appraisal of all correspondence received since the last meeting. He informed the members the approved amended Bye Laws had been received from Supreme Council and would be issued to all members shortly. (NB this is a change of date for the meeting from September to January)
The Third Point was conducted by the MWS, following which the Chapter was closed.
The evening was concluded with yet another excellent meal, enjoyed in the most convivial atmosphere, where the usual Toasts were honoured.
